About this piece
A figure conjured entirely from steel rod — body, hair, and hem dissolving into trailing tendrils that refuse to settle. Willow Girl stands caught between stillness and motion, her form legible only in aggregate: a thousand individual wires that, from any angle, read unmistakably as a woman.
The rods were welded by hand, each placed to follow the pull of the figure's posture — hair swept back, torso leaning forward, the lower body fragmenting into open air. Dark patina deepens the contrast between the dense core and the loose, reaching ends, giving the piece a shadow it generates from within.
