Torso Study is built from a single vertical rod that snakes and thins as it rises, the figure's skeletal frame assembled from steel strip and wire welded at angles that suggest motion more than mass. She is all line, all implication.

The title is precise. This is a study — an attempt to understand the torso not as volume but as structure, as the relationships between points under tension. Not broken, but reduced to exactly what it needs to be and nothing more. The base plate is small, the figure tall, the balance more precarious than it looks.
